To secure a long life for a window, the raw material must be carefully selected. We sort the logs on species, grain /width of year rings, extent of heartwood, and general quality before sawing.
The inner pieces can be sorted separately for their heartwood share, while outer pieces can be for fingerjointing
The customer based quality sorting is then done before drying, enabling us to differ the M.C. according to customers requirements.
The species for these products is normally redwood (pine)
